Margaret E. Douglas Harper has a CSA widow's pension on line in the virtual vault. She shows proof of her marriage to Jesse F. Harper on Sept 9, 1860 in Gilmer County. He enlisted in Company D of the 11th Ga regiment in March 1862 in Ellijay, GA. He was discharged due to disability in Nov. 1862 and was at home on doctor's orders at the surrender. He died in Gilmer County, GA on Dec. 28, 1895.
