Mrs. Verna O. Brett, 68, of 3468 N. Water St., Decatur, died Dec. 3 in Decatur and Macon County Hospital.
Mrs. Brett was born April 27, 1894, in Decatur, a daughter of Harry H. and Ida Mae Lilly Douglas, and was a life long resident of Decatur and was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethen Church.
She married David F. Brett Feb. 7, 1914 in Decatur. He died on Feb. 20, 1953 and had been fieldman in the farm department of the Citizens National Bank.
Survivors include two sons, David D. of Decatur, and Keith of Hayward, Wis.; a foster sister, Mrs. Eloise Vandervort of Tucson, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Brintlinger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
