March, 1895--Norban Cornwell died March 22, 1895. He had lived at the old homestead, looking after the estate and taking care of his aged mother, Nancy Cornwell until her death which occurred January 2, 1888. He was united in marriage August 17, 1862, with Ellen V. Liston of Illinois and to their union twelve children were born, of which ten (in 1884) were still living: Charles A., Florence E., Adolphus J., Norban H., Simon P., Theron E., Lawrence E., Estella E., Artherburn B., and Mary E., all with the exception of Charles were at home with their parents. His occupation was farming in connection with which he has thaught school, and was engaged in the mercantile business at Mount Carmel, and was quite successful in those pursuits. In politics he was a Democrat.
