Lawrence L. Berkshire, 85, Sumner, died Sunday in Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
Member of First Christian Church, Bridgeport and was a retired farmer and stockman.
Born in Petty Township, Lawrence County March 9, 1893, he was the son of Elmer S. and Ada Parrott Berkshire.
He was first married to Ella Dowell who preceded him in death. He later married Luella Dutton, who survives.
Other survivors are: daughters, Mrs. Gene (Rosella) Lewis, Sumner, Mrs. Doyle (Ada) Sharett, Robinson, Mrs. Paul (Miriam) Baltzell, Sumner, Mrs. Phillip (Carol) Starkman, Titusville, FL and Mrs. Junior (Margaret) Wolfe, Lawrenceville.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill (Petty) Cemetery.
