SERVICES HELD FOR PIONEER RESIDENT
Funeral services for Clifford S. Sowers, pioneer retired farmer, were held today (Thursday, March 11th) at 2:30pm in Wagoner's Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Pastor Melvin Garrison officiating. He passed away at his home in Wagoner, Oklahoma Monday, March 8, 1965, at the age of 86.
Survivors are his wife Ollie (Buckley) Sowers of the home; three sons, Junior Clifford Sowers and Floyd Sowers, both of Wagoner and Travis Sowers of Anderson, California; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Edda Blue of Coffeyville, Kansas, Mrs. Margie Myers and Mrs. Dorothy Irene Scroggins, both of Wagoner; a brother, John Sowers of Sentinel, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Eddie Fisher of Sentinel, Missouri and Mrs. Clara Earls, address unknown; 34 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Hersman Funeral Home of Wagoner.
Pallbearers were Bill Cannon, Ellis Garrison, Vester Taylor, Roy Center, Chester Baker and John Mell.
