ANOTHER PIONEER GONE
Frederick Eberhardt Came Here in 1856—Resident Ever Since.
Another of the pioneers of the county has been summoned to his eternal rest, his name inscribed with the list of those who will be remembered for their services in developing Manitowoc in its early days.

Frederick Eberhardt, who came here in 1856 and had been a continuous resident, died at the family home on So. Ninth street early today, aged 80 years, his demise resulting from age and a complication of diseases. Mr. Eberhardt had been confined to the house only a week and his death was unexpected.

Deceased, in coming to the county
settled on a farm in Newton and removed to the city only in late years. He was well and favorably known as a business man and was interested in many projects and held large real estate ownings in the city and county.

An aged widow and four sons and four daughters survive. Four brothers, Ernst, Wilhelm, August and Henry and one sister, Mrs. Thiele, also survive. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon with interment at Evergreen.
