Skeeter died January 1, 2009 in Ralls. He was born October 20, 1924 to Ross Jackson Brock, Sr. and Doris (Rowe) Brock in Livingston, Texas. He married Lucy Nix in Lubbock on September 20, 1946. She preceded him in death February 26, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Joseph Brock.
Skeeter was a member of Earth United Methodist Church. He served as Justice of Peace for Lamb County Precinct 2 for 25 years. Skeeter was a member of the Methodist Men, the Earth Lions Club, and owned the Brock Insurance Agency for a number of years in Earth. He farmed for a number of years in Earth.
Survivors include a son, Chris Brock and Giselle of Ralls; two daughters, Melodie Smith of Clifton, DeAnne Hagood and husband Mark of Bedford; one sister, Doris Joyce Mason of Duncanville; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
