Sara Jane was the daughter of John Allen & Acey Elizabeth Adamson Dutton. She married Lillard H. Jones 12 Dec, 1905 in Dekalb Co., TN.. They had four children: Minnie Lee, Myrtle Mai, Houston Gray & Ruby Brown Jones.
Hold Last Rites For Mrs. Sarah Jane Jones.....Last rites for Mrs. Sarah Jane Jones, 66, who died yesterday afternoon at her home at 214 Battle avenue, were conducted today at the Sycamore Baptist church at Gassaway. The Rev. Woodrow Medlock officiated. Mrs Jones, the wife of Lillard H. Jones of Murfreesboro, was a native of DeKalb county. She was the daughter of the late John A. and Elizabeth Adamson Dutton. A member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist church, she had resident here for the past 12 years.. Survivors other than her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Robertson, Murfreesboro and Mrs. Minnie Derting of Liberty; a son, Huston of Murfreesboro; a foster son, Robert Patterson, Nashville; four brothers, Dillard, Samuel Lee, Calvin and Robert Dutton, of Dowelltown, Gassaway, Watertown and Murfreesboro respectively; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
