Grace was born in Cleveland Township on March 11, 1893, the daughter of B.F. and Jennie Turner. She was educated in the township schools and graduated from Logansport High School.
On October 1, 1916, she was united in marriage with Edgar L. McClure, a prosperous young farmer. They then went to make their home on his farm adjoining the city of Wabash.
To this union one child was born, who with the bereaved husband and father survive her along with the parents, Benjamin and Frances Turner and two sisters; Mrs. Beulah Keel and Ruth V. at home; also Grandparents Simeon and Hannah Huffman.
Grace Mae was a faithful member of the West Bethel M.E. Church and had many friends in the vicinity where she was raised who deeply regret her untimely departure.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at her parents home, six miles south of South Whitley with the Reverend F. E. Young officiating. Burial was made in the South Whitley cemetery.
