Wessie [McKinney], very loved and well liked, passed away March 28, 1993. He was born May 7, 1907. He will be missed by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mamie Welchel McKinney, of the home. He was the proud father of three loving children, Ruth, Orville and Vesta. He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Ruth Williams and her husband Don of Blanchard, Ok.; his son, Orville McKinney and his wife Rosemary of Littleton, Co. and Vesta McKinney of OKC, Ok.; 12 grandchildren, Debra and Fred Engleke of Tuttle, David and Brenda Yeakley of Moore, James and Wendy Yeakley of Tuttle, Cindy and Frank Bombardiere of Yukon, Shelly and Don Anderson of Newcastle, Lisa and Kevin McClain and Lorie and Nathan Hill of Littleton, Co. and Jeremy McKinney of OKC, Charles West of Tuttle, Ok., Donnie and Kristi Williams of Moore, Debbie Rodgers of OKC and Christy Williams of Tx.; also 18 great grandchildren and was awaiting the arrival of his first great-great grandchild.

Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram McKinney and Leelerbell Roberts McKinney; 2 sisters and 6 brothers. He is also survived by sisters, Jewel Eades, Pearl Lingle and Vivian Clark, all of Tuttle, as well as many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.

Wessie was a lifelong resident of the Tuttle area and retired from Grady County District One at age 77. 30 years ago, thanks to an angel of mercy, he was rescued during an electrical accident that allowed him to spend many more happy years watching his family grow. Many friends and acquaintances will rejoice in happy thoughts associated with him. Funeral services 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Tuttle, where he was a member. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, Ok.
