Stanley Thomas Gibson, 58, of Hooker, passed away Aug. 5, 2008 at his home.
Stanley was born May 16, 1950 in Liberal, Kan., the son of C.L. "Hoot" and Doris Ruth Starr Gibson. He grew up and attended school in Hooker graduating with the Class of 1968.
He received his college education at Northwestern State University in Alva. He was awarded a bachelors degree in Agriculture.
Stanley made his home in the Hooker area where he ranched.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hooker and the Guymon Elks Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his two brothers, Terry Lee Gibson of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jackie Gibson and his wife Dottie of Lake Cormorant, Miss.; two nephews, Todd Farrar of Baton Rogue, La. and Travis Gibson of Walden, Wash. and a niece, Tia Hensley of San Augustine, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008 at the Hooker Cemetery with Rev. Jim Roebuck of the First Baptist Church in Hooker officiating. Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. in Hooker is in charge of arrangements.
