Freelandville, Oct. 18. - Allen Edgar Berry, aged 60, died here at the home of his son, Schuyler, at 6:15 last evening. Mr. Berry lived on a farm near Carlisle, but since his return from a Chicago hospital about three weeks agao he had stayed here with his son. He had been in poor health for a year and twice had undergone operations, but they had failed to give relief.
Mr. Bery was born August 2, 1862. Two days before Christmas, in his twenty-second year, he wed Miss Artemacia Shake and to them were born the four children who survive. They are:
Schuyler, at whose home the father died.
Terrell Berry, of Freelandville.
Russell Berry, of Carlisle.
Nellie Brower, of Stanton, Ill.
There are fourteen grandchildren.
The mother of these children died and Mr. Berry wed Miss Dollie Brown in March, 1911. She, the four children, the aged mother, Mrs. Judah Berry, and a brother, Alex Berry, survive.
The funeral services will be held at Indian Prairie tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Alexander in charge of the services.
