John Costello, soon established himself and claimed Ellen (Burns) as his bride. They lived in Baltimore (Maryland) for a few years, and there my brother James and my sister Mary Ann were born, after which the family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, ... The family increased in size, with four more children being born in Fort Wayne - John, then myself, Mary Ellen, in 1826, then Eliza Ann who died at birth, and Michael, who died many years later in Oregon."
