WEAVER, JESSIE LAUGHERTY - age 95 of Knoxville passed away Thursday December 27, 2007 at Baptist Hospital. She had served as a church organist & pianist in several area churches having started at age eleven. She was a member of Gayland Heights Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, three brothers, five sisters, husband: Harley Weaver; grandchildren: Pamela Marshall, Scott Childress and Michael Weaver. Survived by children and their spouses: June Woods, Carolyn Marshall, Judy (David) Childress, Jack (Delores) Weaver, Brenda Smith; fourteen grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; sister: Mildred Oglesby; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Saturday with funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. Interment in Highland Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Webb officiating. Grandsons will be pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Gayland Heights Baptist Church 1518 Willoughby Rd Knoxville, Tn 37920.
