M M McQuary Laid to Rest

Funeral services for Marion Monroe McQuary, 79, retired Chickasaw county farmer, who died at Houston Hospital at 12:15 pm, Monday of a heart ailment, were conducted from the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church at 10 am, Wednesday with the Rev. Doyle Caples and Rev. Gowan Ellis officiating.

Interment was in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Houston Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased.

Mr. McQuary, who was born March 11, 1883, was the son of James McQuary and Mattie Naron McQuary. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Rosa McQuary of Houston; four sons, Oren of Houston, Lias and Bill, both of Memphis, and Robert Lee of Charleston, S. Carolina; five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Lancaster of Woodland, Mrs. Beatrice Nichols and Mrs. Christine Harmon, both of Houston, Mrs. Mildred Hines of McComb, and Mrs. Romallette Thrasher of Starkville. He also leaves five brothers, six sisters, 27 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
