Mrs. Worden, 86, died Monday (Dec. 22, 2008) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. She had been a patient at the hospital for one week.

Betty Belle Butler was born Dec. 4, 1922. She and her four sisters were raised on a farm near Blue Earth, and she graduated from Blue Earth High School. Her parents wanted all their daughters to have a professional career, and she chose to become a beautician, attending Beauty College in Mankato.

Her children, grandchildren and friends received many pieces of her handiwork.

Survivors include a son, Mark (Nancy) of Encinitas, Calif.; two daughters, CeCelia (Ralph) Benson of Minneapolis and Rosalie (Wayne) Trom of Kasson; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and three sisters, Marjorie Buegler of Blue Earth, Lois (Kenny) Johnson of Alexandria, Minn., and Carol Gable of San Diego.
