BENTON — The Rev. Headley Thweatt, 86, of Benton died Wednesday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
He was a retired Baptist minister and member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Myrlin Nichols Thweatt; two sons, the Rev. Mark Thweatt of Benton and Kevin Thweatt of South Lyon, Mich.; two daughters, Ellen Northcott of Benton and Pamela Howard of Palm City, Fla.; one sister, Ernestine Staples of Benton; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Thweatt; one son; two sisters; and three brothers. His parents were Isome Thweatt and Minnie Rose Thweatt.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Collier Funeral Chapel in Benton with the Revs. Mark Thweatt, Don Wilson, Terry Clapp and Greg Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens in Murray.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
