Funeral services for David M. Cunningham, 64, were held at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Officiants at the last rites were the Rev. H. V. Caraway, pastor of the McKenzie United Methodist church and the Rev. Paul Campbell. Cooper-Sorrells directed interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
Named pallbearers were Jessie Smith, Woodrow Pritchett, Gene Hodges, Jack Self, Clyde Hall and Johnnie smith.
Mr. Cunningham, of 616 N. 14th Street, Honey Grove, died at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, April 3, 1970, in McCuistion Community Hospital, Paris.
In ill health for the past eight years, he had been in the hospital seven weeks at the time of his demise.
A native of Honey Grove, David Moreland Cunningham was born Oct. 7, 1905, the son of Arthur Cunningham and Mamie Moreland Cunningham.
He was married to Janie Blackwood on Oct. 18, 1931 at Hugo, Okla.
A retired employee of Lone Star Gas Company, he was a member of the McKenzie Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Janie Cunningham of Honey Grove; two sons, James Floyd and Arthur Lloyd Cunningham, both of Paris; a daughter, Mrs. James Hodges of Irving and nine grandchildren.
