Earl L. Achey, 86, 21 S. Wilson St., Cleona, died Thursday, December 18, 2008, in his residence. He was the husband of Rose M. Cooley Achey. He was born in Lebanon on April 3, 1922, son of the late Morris and Edna Koehler Achey. He was retired with 43 service from the Hershey Chocolate Corp. Kiss Department. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church of Cleona. Surviving in addition to his wife are children Patricia G. Reigert of York, Stephen E. and wife Jean Achey of Charleston, S.C., Glenn L. and wife Lou Achey of Danville, Va., Dean E. and wife Janet Achey of Jonestown; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers John, Paul and Guy Achey. Funeral service Monday, December 22, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home inc., Fifth and Cumberland streets, Lebanon, where a viewing will be held Monday beginning at 1 p.m. Interment Grand View Memorial Park.
