Mrs. Helena Mitchell, one of the old and highly respected residents of Montgomery County, died Wednesday at her home near Danville, at the age of 69 years, 8 months, and 3 days. Mrs. Mitchell had been sick for some time and during the past two weeks two children have been called to the other world, a son Ike Mitchell and a daughter, Mrs. Henrietta Ash. This fact weighed heavily upon her and she was unable to recuperate her strength. She leaves one son, Edward Mitchell of Montgomery City and one daughter, who made her home with her. The funeral was held from the home Thursday afternoon at 3 (?) o'clock and burial took place in the Montgomery City cemetery.
