MARRIED:
m1 23FEB1848GE Ludwig BENDSCHNIEDER
m2 LOUIS ARNOLD
M3 FREDERICH DITTMER

Christina Sophia ‘Fredrika' Johanna Brüggmann was born 1821(Obituary said 04APR vs 05APR at Môllenhagen in Ankershagen Parish of Mecklenburg, married at Pribbenow in Stavenhagen Parish, died in Clayton Co., IA at the house of son, August, after a short illness of 14 days, & is buried in Clayton Co. IA's Mederville Cemetery.

She & first husband, Ludwig(August) Johann Ernst BENT(D)SCHNIEDER(d.1867IA) of Pribbenow(s/o Johann Freiderich), may have left for America after marriage, because they appear in the 1856 Clayton Co., IA Census claiming to have been in Iowa since 1854(Frederika BROCKMEYER said 1853) under the names of Frederick(41) & Frederika(35) BENSCHNEIDER with son August(13GE). Later Iowa Census's indicate that they came to the USA in 1853/54 and were probably the reason the HELM'S came to Clayton Co., IA. Frederick also appears as August Bent(d)schnieder living in Volga Twp. in Clayton Co. IA near the Helms & Bruggmanns during the late 1800's. The August aged 13 in the 1856 IA Census listed Ludwick BENSCHNEIDER as his father thus I assume that August, Frederick, & Ludwick were all names for the husband of Sophia who herself was known as Sophia, Frederika, & Christina.

Baptismal sponsors 08APR1828 at Ankershagen included: Johann Christian SCHMIDT and three others.

Both buried MedervilleClaytonIA Cemetery.

Fredrika married(Max MENZEL testified as to ages) at ElkaderClaytonIA 02JUL1866: Louis ARNOLD(c1827-1871IA) and farmed on the Volga River near LittleportClaytonIA. No children.

In 1880 Cox Creek Twp., Clayton Co. IA Census, she appears as Maria DITTMER, age 68, with third husband, Frederich DITTMER(age 70 born Hannover d.1895) who she married 26AUG1871. Nephew, Charles HELM age 14 and son of John HELM and Caroline was working on the DITTMER farm. No children.
