SUPPLY – Mrs. Marie Carlisle Gray, age 59, of 1337 Carlisle Street, Supply, died Monday, December 30, 2002, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center.
Mrs. Gray was born in Brunswick County, February 17, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Gladys Fulford Carlisle. She was a member of Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church. Marie loved to sing gospel music and sang at many area churches.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennie Varnam of Supply; two grandsons, Mitch Varnam and Seth Varnam of Supply; a brother, James Carlisle of Supply; two sisters, Joyce Johnson and Nellie Reeves of Supply; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 1, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, Supply Chapel, with Reverend Landis Lancaster officiating.
Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Varnam, Seth Varnam, Gerald Reeves, Chris Reeves, Lee Johnson, Jonathan Carlisle.
