Edwin Frank Page lived in the Kittitas Valley since he was five years old. He was born February 19, 1914 in Bryn Mahr, which is now a part of Seattle. (His father, Alfred O. Page was interested in available farm land in the valley; although his mother, Mary Ann (Wooding) Page missed the timbered land west of the mountains). Edwin first attended Kittitas Grade School; the building is now the Kittitas City Hall and Library. When his father farmed the Jenkins farm just east of Ellensburg, the children attended the old Washington School. After the school house burned, some of the classes were held in a temporary structure and some in the Y.M.C.A. Edwin completed his grade school at the Damman School when the family lived on the Barnes Place on the Westside. He began his high school in Ellensburg, graduated from Kittitas Union High School, and attended a comptometer school in Spokane. When he returned, he farmed with his father and bought an adjoining acreage.
He married Lois Kinkade when he was 27 years old and she was 20. They had three sons and one daughter together. He farmed on Caribou Road, worked for Alan Rogers, and the Haybrook Hereford Ranch. In 1960 they moved to a home in town and Edwin worked for Rainier Bank (formerly National Bank of Commerce) for nineteen years. He was a member of Robber's Roost Good Sam club and a 50-year member of the Nanum Grange. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and woodworking.
Edwin passed away in 1988 at the age of 74 and is buried at IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg.
