Aldeen Dasher Baxter, 83, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Glenvue Nursing Home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Tattnall County native was a member of Glennville Free Will Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and treasurer for 25 years. She was formerly employed as a sales clerk at Lipsitz's Department Store, and was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Barnie R. Baxter of Glennville; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Dann Patrick of Goldsboro, North Carolina; sister, Nelwanda Purcell of Glennville; brother and sister-in-law, Deryle and Emmajean Dasher of Glennville; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, at Glennville Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dann Patrick, the Rev. Lee Patrick, and the Rev. Stephen Windham officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Byron Dasher, Ivan Livingston, Richard Barnard, Tracy Durrence, David Baxter, and Charles Winge.
Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Glennville Free Will Baptist Church.
Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.
