Leo B. Mayfield 69, of Vermillion, Ohio died Sunday morning at Lorain Community Hospital following a three month illness. He was born in Mannington, Feb 11, 1911, son of the late Simon and Vianna Jones Mayfield. The deceased has been a resident of the Vermillion area for 28 years. He was employed for 20 years in the Maintenance department of Ford Motor Company, Lorain, retiring in 1976. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pauline Glover Mayfield, a daughter Mrs. Roberta Rivera of Vermillion, a son Donald of Orlando, Florida and three grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Odis of Paden City, and Six sisters, Mrs. Ruby McCann, Mrs. Bessie Taylor, and Mrs. Marie Batson, all of Mannington, Mrs. Opal Arthur of Wadestown, and Mrs. Pearl Blatt of Paden City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Vermillion Church of Christ. Interment was at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermillion.
