Charles Raymond Miller, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 5, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of heart disease. He was born April 29, 1926, in Roanoke, MO, to John Franklin Miller and Minnie Lee Shipley and grew up in Ririe. After graduating from Ririe High School, he earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Weber State College and served in the Navy during World War II.
He married Betty Lou Barrow June 5, 1948, in West Warren, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized September 27, 1967, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were later divorced. He worked as an accountant and owned H&R Block in Rexburg. He had lived in Ririe for 11 years, Ogden, UT, for 20 years, Buffalo, NY, for two years, Overland Park, KS, for two years, Rexburg for 12 years, and Swan Valley for 14 years, before moving to Idaho Falls in 2006.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as Sunday School President, Ward Clerk, and Counselor in the Young Men Presidency. He was a member of a veterans organization. He enjoyed fishing, square dancing, and basketball.

He was preceded by his parents and by seven siblings: Hazel Belle Rodgers, Eva May Miller, John Franklin Miller, Jannie Virginia Scott, William Henry Miller, David Edward Miller, and Dale Allen Miller. Funeral Services held Friday, December 12, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home East, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop D. J. Teichert of Idaho Falls St. Leon Ward officiating. Burial in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery directed bu Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites performed by Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
