Ray A. Patrick
Ray A. Patrick, 81, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away December 7th, 2008 just shy of his 82nd birthday at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. He lost his battle with complications from a stroke he had September 27th.
Born December 26th, 1926 in Parkville, Missouri. Ray was survived by his wife of 18 years, Carmen Patrick. He was a Veteran of WWII, and served in the Army from 1944-1946. He retired from Fixtures Furniture as a Graphic Draftsman. Ray was a loving, kind and devoted husband. He loved his artwork, drawing detailed plans for projects, yard work, his family and little dog "Angel." Ray could look at something, analyze it and determine how it went together and operated.
Ray was preceded in death by his eldest son, Martin Patrick. He is survived by sons, John Patrick of Singer Island, FL, and Ray Patrick Jr. of Kansas City, KS, a step-daughter, Maria Schulte of Overland Park, KS, and their spouses, respectively Carolyn Patrick, Karen Patrick, and Steve Schulte. Ray is also survived by his sister-in-law, Dorothy Patrick of Overland Park, KS along with his loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The world knew no kinder, gentler, soft spoken, giving, loving and devoted person. Ray will be dearly missed by all, especially wife Carmen and his family. Visitation will be held from 7-9:00 p.m. Thursday December 11, 2008 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday December 12, 2008 at the chapel; burial with full military honors in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. (Arrangements: D.W.
