Services for Mrs. Ruth Smith, 85 of Belton will be at 10am Thursday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton with the Rev. Jay Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Belton.

Mrs. Smith died Monday, Nov. 6th, 2000, in a
Carrollton hospital. She was born in Coleman to Charles Anderson and Eliza Nancy Collins Alvis. She married Harvey Z. Smith on Feb. 10, 1934, in Bell County. He preceded her in
death. She was a homemaker and a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton.

Survivors are two daughters, Mary Ann Baldwin of San Angelo and Linda Lawrence of Carrollton; a sister, Jewel Howell of Waco; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. (obit courtesy of dau. Ann)
