Mrs. Elenor [sic] Johnson died Sun­day morning about nine o’clock at her home southeast of town. She was in her eighty-first year and had been a resident of the county since 1815, having come here from Kentucky with her parents when but two years old. She was the mother of fourteen children, nine of whom are living. Among these are Andrew and Henry Johnson, residing east of town. A brother of deceased, Mathias Tracy, resides at Whiteland. She was a member of the Baptist church of this city, being the oldest member of the congregation at the time of her death. The funeral services oc­curred at the house Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. E. S. Gardiner. Burial at Greenlawn.
HUSTLETOWN ~ Mrs. Johnson, an aged lady of this vicinity, died at her home on the state road Sunday morning. Funeral services were held Tuesday.

WHITELAND – Mrs. Eleanor Johnson, who died south of Franklin last week, was a sister of the Tracy’s of Whiteland. Mrs. Johnson was raised near Whiteland and had lived in Johnson county sixty-five years. She had been a member of the Baptist church almost from its organization in Franklin. She was one of the pioneers of the county and belonged to a family remarkable for vigor of mind and body; the kind of people who are useful in building up a good and substantial community.

DEATH’S HARVEST – Mrs. Eleanor Johnson died Sunday morning at her home on the state road southeast of Franklin in the eighty-first year of age. The funeral services were conducted from the residence Tuesday morning and were in charge of Rev. E. S. Gardiner, of the Baptist church of Franklin. Mrs. Johnson was the widow of Charles Johnson who died many years since. She was the mother of several children who survive. Among them are A. J. Johnson, of Smiley’s mill, well-known in Johnson county. Mrs. Johnson had been a member of the Baptist church for sixty years. She was a most estimable lady.
