Edward A. Rhyner, 53, of 4562 Wilcox Place, Jamesville, died today at Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Syracuse and was a warehouse foreman for the Bristol Laboratories from 1947 until 1972. Mr. Rhyner was a veteran of Foreign Wars and was a member of Paul Martini Post No. 6326, Jamesville. He was also a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Betty Norton Rhyner; two daughters, Audrey and Trudy Rhyner; two sons, Edward A. Jr. and Thomas P. Rhyner, all of Jamesville; a brother, William Rhyner of Syracuse; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Smith of Jamesville and Mrs. Jane Schmeer of Clay and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fairchild and Meech DeWitt Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Alexander Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The Paul Martini Post will conduct military services at the graveside.
