Dollie Horne Asbell died Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Pinewood Nursing Center in Whigham, Georgia. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 1:00. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Vada, Georgia. Rev. W. G. Turner will be officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Dollie was born February 12, 1919 in Grady County, Georgia to Charlie and Mittie Glover Horne. She was a homemaker and member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Cairo. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law: Wayne and Camille Asbell, Danny and Annette Deason, Gary and Daphne Asbell and Greg and Susie Asbell; brother and sister in law: George A. and Ruby Horne of Cairo, Georgia; grandchildren: Kevin Asbell, Tony Cuellar, Rose Tanner, Chris Deason and Mhari Gay, John W. Asbell, Rosalie Flummer, Pasha Asbell, April Barber, David Asbell, Bubba Arrington, Brandi Lowery and Stephanie Nelson; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
