Emma F. Ecker, 73, of 711 Randolph St., Apt. 6, died Friday, March 8, 1985, at 2:30 p.m. at Hanover General Hospital. Born in Toms Brook, Va., she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Emma Kibler Rinker. Her first husband, Joseph Strausbaugh, died in January 1957. Her second husband, Maurice Ecker, died in September 1971.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grandview Road, the national and local AARP and the Gold¬en Age Club of the YWCA. Surviving are: Five daughters, Wilma Steinour, 711 Randolph St.; Mrs. William (Theresa) Orner, 730 Belmont Road, Gettysburg; Mrs. Charles (Nancy) McManus, Pearl Drive; Lorraine Kuhn, Main Street, Spring Grove; and Mrs. Donald (Alice) Wright, Sunset Circle, Brodbecks; three sons, William Strausbaugh, Littlestown RD 1; Daniel Strausbaugh, 41 N. Stratton St., Gettysburg; and Stephen Strausbaugh, East Berlin RD 2; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Janet) Siler, Lee Street; two stepsons, Eugene Ecker, Dover RD 2; and Russell Ecker, no known address; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Clifton (Gladys) Reynolds, Hanover RD 4; Mrs. Norman (Bess) Auchey, 652 Poplar Road, New Oxford; Mrs. Merle (Agnes) Martin, Gettysburg; and Mabel Rinker, Philadelphia; and one brother, Jacob Rinker, East Berlin RD 2.

Funeral services will be Monday, meeting at Kenworthy Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. James Sterner will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening, with prayers at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
