He was a lifelong resident of Caldwell Parish.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Dewey Bass officiating. Burial followed in Old union Cemetery west of Grayson under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Odelle Busby of Clarks; two sons, Fred Busby of Grayson and Tommy Busby of Monroe; three daughters, Myrtie Laffoon and Marie Thomas, both of Columbia and Opal Borden of Harleton, Texas; three brothers, Wilburn Busby of Columbia, Lonnie Busby and Huey P. Busby, both of Clarks; two sisters, Minnie West of Clarks and Bertha Howard of Urania; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
