Visitation for Dorothy F. Janssen, 89, of Danforth, will be from 12:30 p.m. Saturday until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman. Reverend James Gerth will officiate.

Burial will be in the Danforth Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth. Ms. Janssen died Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth.

Ms. Janssen was born on October 26, 1916, in Danforth, the daughter of George A. and H. Lena Decker Janssen. She attended the Lenz country school and Danforth High School. She graduated from Gilman High School in 1934. She worked with her brother Earl at the Farm and Home Store in Clifton for 10 years. She later worked at Meier Oil Service in Ashkum for 18 years.

Ms. Janssen is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Schultz and Thelma Koets, as well as four brothers, Clarence, Roy, Earl and Alfred.
