Funeral services were held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. over the remains of Orson Vail, father of Mrs. Sedgwick, who passed away Thursday evening after several month's illness from heart trouble. Bishop Jones conducted the exercises. Ed and Lena Johnson sang "Face to Face," with Deverl Willey at the piano. Prayer was offered by Fritz Winzenried. A violin duet was rendered by Ralph Ericksen and Morris Johnson. John Jensen and Bishop Jones were the speakers, and each praised him for his honesty and willingness to do what was asked of him. Grace Stevens sang "Not Understood." Joseph Helm offered the benediction. The Relief Society ladies acted as flower girls. The pallbearers were Leo Neville, Floyd Cowley, Ira Egan, John Abraham, Ed Johnson and Roy Willey. The flowers were beautiful.
Mr. Vail came to Byron in 1900 from Star Valley. His age was 71 years. He is survived by his wife, four sons, four daughters and about twenty grandchildren. This being the second death in the family in less than a week, the sympathy of the community is extended to the family.
