BOYD -- Sunday evening, Sept. 27 1964, at a local infirmary, Joel Sullivan Boyd, 111 Fonnic Dr., Goodlettsville. Survived by wife, Mrs. Louise Collins Boyd; Goodletsville; three daughters, Mrs. Allen Slate, Bakersville, Calif., Mrs. James W. Newbold, Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Jack W. Webb, Nashville; mother, Mrs. Ollie Boyd, Mt. Juliet; brother, Coy Boyd, Nashville, four sisters, Mrs .Berry Dobson, Mrs. Haggard Robinson, and Mrs. Aaron Robinson all of Nashville and Mrs. Oma Cummings, Mt. Juliet; three grandchildren, Kenny and Lurie Slate, both of Bakersville, Calif. and Terry Webb, Nashville. The remains rest at the funeral home of Phillips-Robinson Co., where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock. Interment National Cemetery. Phillips-Robinson Co., Directors.

Services for Joel Sullivan Boyd Jr., 48, of 111 Fonnic Drive, Goodlettsville, will be at 1 p.m. today at hillips-Robinson Funeral Home.
Burial will be in National Cemetery.
Sllivan, a retired insurance company employe died Sunday at Veterans Hospital. He was a native of Wilson County.
He was a member of the Church of Christ, was a Shriner and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louise Boyd, three daughters, Mrs. Joan Slate, Bakersville, Calif., Mrs. Wanda Newbold, Baltimore, and Mrs. Carol Webb of Nashville; his mother Mrs. Joel S. Boyd Sr., Mount Juliet; four sisters, Mrs. Berry A. Dodson, Una, Mrs. Omer Cummings, Mount Juliet, Mrs. Haggard Robinson, Una., Mrs. R. A. Robinson, Nashville; a brother, Coy Brent Boyd, Nashville, and three grandchildren.
