Tennie's mother had married Frank Fisher in 1911. In the 15 Aug 1916 record for Tennie's marriage to Please Nichols, Tennie went by the name Tennie Fisher. However, in a Feb 1926 Cherokee claims record, she said her name before marriage was Tennie Lynn. Tennie indicated that her mother was Margaret Lynn and father was Loyd Shaw, and they hadn't married. In the passing of Tennie's son Bingham, his parents were shown as Bass B. Shaw and Tennie Lynn.
