Mrs. Veda I. Woods of Plymouth, died at 3:35 a.m. today at McDonough District Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Cookson-Hamilton Funeral Home, Plymouth, with the Rev. Earle Black officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Plymouth. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Woods was born Nov. 26, 1915, in Littleton, the daughter of Charles Burley and Lul VanWinkle Green. She married Olaf Cowdery on Dec. 19, 1932. She later married Cline Woods. She was a cook and co-owner of Cowdery and Stolp Tavern, Plymouth, for many years. She attended Schuyler County schools.
Surviving are one brother, Dayne of Industry; one sister, Nina Millikin of LaHarpe; two grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Cowdery, and one brother, Ivan.
