Robbie Bonnie Dodson died Wednesday, March 7, at the home of her son in Noble. Services for will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Noble First Baptist Church with Deyrl Kastner officiating. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery under the direction of Wadley's Funeral Service.

Mrs. Dodson was born Oct. 10, 1916, in McClain County to James "Jim" and Mary (Huffman) Roberts. She was the eighth of 10 children born into this family. Most of her life was spent in Cleveland and McClain counties. She started school in 1922 in Noble and graduated from Edmond High School. She was ever grateful for the sacrifices that her parents made to educate their children, her family said.

She married John Brack Dodson Aug. 28, 1936. To this union was born three sons. The family lived in McClain County for several years and farmed around Washington. Mrs. Dodson worked for the State of Oklahoma for 26 years and retired in 1981. She lived in Noble for 34 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was especially fond of hummingbirds and butterflies, loved writing poetry, listening to country music, doing crafts, fellowshipping with her church family and taking trips with the Goodtimers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, four sisters and one daughter-in-law.

Survivors include three sons, James Dodson and wife Cathy of Greenwood, Ind., Bob Dodson and wife Theresa of Noble and Richard Dodson and wife Brenda of LaQuinta, Calif.; brother Jim Roberts and wife Sally of Edmond; a sister, Hazel Cavaness of Piedmont; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and many relatives, friends and a very dear friend-sister, Phyllis Rhodes.
