Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Sackett, 75, of Big Horn will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Champion's with the Rev. Raymond H. Clark, rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, officiating.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Big Horn Church in memory of Mrs. Sackett and can be sent in care of the Big Horn Post Office. Interment will be in the Big Horn Cemetery.
Mrs. Sackett was born in Stam, Ia., on April 21, 1887. Her death occurred Sunday, Sept. 16, at Memorial Hospital. Her husband, the late Clyde Sackett, died in 1947.
Mrs. Sackett was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Fleming who came to this community with their family in 1902.
Always active in church and organizations. Mrs. Sackett was a member of St. Peter's Church of Sheridan and of the Big Horn Community Church, and its choir, serving as accompanist for many years.
She was a member of the Big Horn Woman's Club and was a past president of the organization; a member of the Big Horn Circle and Red Grade Homemakers Club; was a member of Cloud Peak Lodge No. 14 of Rebekahs and a past Noble Grand and was also a past District President of Rebekahs.
Among the honors she had received in her lodge work was presentation of the Decoration of Chivalry for outstanding service to the Rebekah Order. She was musician for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Canton, another branch of Odd Fellowship, and had acted as musician for many community gatherings.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Fleming, and sister Mae Ferber, who died in 1958. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and also by her brother-in-law, Carl Sackett of Cheyenne.
