Mrs. Roy (Ruth Irene Link) Hanks, 77, of Maroa died 8:40 a.m. Sunday, September 3, 1989 in her home.
Services were 2 p.m. Thursday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Maroa. Private burial services were in Maroa Cemetery.
Mrs. Hanks was born in Maroa, daughter of Jacob and Sarah Link. She was a machinist at Revere Cooper & Brass in Clinton until retiring in 1979 and a member of Maroa Christian Church.
She married Roy Hanks in 1932. He died in 1969.
Surviving are sons, Roy Gene of Decatur, Lee of Richardson, Texas; John of Maroa; daughters, Audrey Crutchfield of Decatur; Mrs. Art (Peggy) Knapp of Yucca Valley, Cal.; brother Eugene Link, Hammond; sisters, Helen Bailey of Baton Rouge, La.; Mrs. Oscar (Frances) Dolleslager, of Birchwood, Wis.; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter.
One brother and one granddaughter preceded her in death.
