Williamsburg- Richard William Wilson, 71, of Route 1, Box 43-B, Williamsburg, died Saturday in Williamsburg Community Hospital after a brief illness.
A retired farmer, he was a native and lifelong resident of James City County.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edna Piner Wilson; a daughter, Mrs. Howard N. Batts of Williamsburg; three sons, Walter Wilson, Lloyd Wilson and Floyd Wilson, all of Williamsburg; a sister, Mrs. Martha Gates of New York City, and six grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Garrison Funeral Home, Williamsburg, by the Rev. Samuel P. Hart, pastor of Jamestown Presbyterian Church.
Burial will be in the family cemetery.
Richard was son of William and Betty Wilson. Brother of Richard was Arthur Wilson, born December 1899.
