Donald F. LaLonde was born May 4, 1927, in Ogdensburg, a son of Paul and Eva Paige LaLonde. He was a 1948 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy and a 1950 graduate of Ogdensburg Business School. He married Beverly A. Dumas on Feb. 3, 1951, at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Edward Pierce presiding.
Mr. LaLonde served with the Navy during the Korean War and was employed by the Aluminum Company of America, Massena. He was a maintenance foreman with St. Lawrence Seaway Corp. until his retirement in 1983.
He was a member of American Legion Post 420 and the Disabled American Veterans.
