MRS. JESSIE TUCKER DIES;RITES SATURDAY
Mrs. Jessie Mae Tucker, 72, 312 East Stoughton street, Champaign, died at midnight Wednesday in the Manteno state hospital, where she had been a patient for six years.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Saturday in the Mittendorf funeral chapel with Rev. Robert N. Mcdonald, pastor of First Baptist church of Champaign, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
Wife of the late William G Tucker. passenger engineer on the Illinois Central railroad who died 15 years ago, she had been a local resident for more then 30 years.
She was born April 19, 1866, at Petersburg, the daughter of John U. and Elizabeth Luken Gibbs. She was married in 1923.
Mrs Tucker leaves a niece, Mrs. Mabel B. Halford, Lincoln; and two nephews, James C and Clifford J. Biggs; as well as four stepchildren, Miss Frances M. Tucker 107 West University avenue, Champaign, Mrs. Doug Wilson Hollywood, Calif. Mrs. Henry Cady, Los Angeles Calf, and Charles W Tucker, Phoenix Ariz. and three step-grandchildren.
