SHREWSBURY - Dennis M. Adams, 50, of 3214 Arbor Drive died in The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Memorial, Worcester, after an illness.
He left his parents, Carlton D. and Shirley B. (Walker) Adams, with whom he lived; five brothers, Ronald P. Adams of Sturbridge, his twin, Dean J. Adams of Millbury, Peter J. Adams of Spencer, Jeffrey S. Adams of Barre and Mark P. Adams of Berlin; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born in Worcester and lived most of his life in Boylston before moving to Shrewsbury recently. He graduated from South High School in Worcester. He served six years in the Navy on the USS Independence. He received a letter of commendation for saving a fellow seaman's life while on a mission out at sea.
Mr. Adams was a machinist and had worked for R. A. Machine Company in Worcester for several years. He later worked for Kilo Blanchard Grinding Company in Rochdale. He was an avid fisherman.
Funeral services were held in the Britton Funeral Home, 648 Main St. Burial was in Oakhill Cemetery, Sterling. Memorial contributions may be made to the 5th Floor Oncology Unit, in care of The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Memorial, 119 Belmont Street, Worcester, 01605.
