Gladys Bagley Weber, 94, of Spring Grove, died Sunday (Nov. 16, 2008).
Gladys Narum was born April 6, 1914, in Riceford. She married Victor Bagley on July 28, 1932, in Riceford. They farmed in Black Hammer for a number of years until her husband took a job in Alaska. She lived in both Alaska and Spring Grove until her husband retired. Mr. Bagley preceded her in death in 1990. On Nov. 4, 1994, she married Maurice Weber of Decorah, Iowa; Mr. Weber preceded her in death in 2001.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Black Hammer and became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church after moving to Spring Grove. She was an outgoing lady, and loved going to old-time dances and dancing polkas and waltzes. She was also an avid reader, and liked playing Bingo and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald (Roberta) Bagley of Fridley, Minn., Vincent (Rosemarie) Bagley of Woodbury, Minn., and Ralph (Judy) of Eagle River, Alaska; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman Narum of Lady Lake, Fla.; and two sisters, Irma and Evelyn Johnson, both of Mabel. Other survivors include a daughter-in-law, Nancy Bagley of Marshall, Minn. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald; a sister, Vernice; and two brothers, Hiram and Mervin.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
