Tahlequah--Funeral services for Della Opal Goss 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002 at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Charles Duvall and Pastor J. B. Schopper officiating. Interment will follow in Boudinot Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Sellers, Danny Bob Lewis, Dan Garber, James Gaylor, Benny Stevenson and Carl Tinnin.
Della Opal Goss was born Feb. 25, 1915 in Jay to Charles Anderson and Willie Mae (Boyd) Bowles.
On June 30, 1937, she married Joseph Walter Goss in Tahlequah.
Della was a member of the Boudinot Baptist Church where she wrote the church newsletter and taught Sunday school. She enjoyed reading the Bible, traveling and flying. Della loved all people, especially her family, and would help anyone who was in need.
Her husband, three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Jack Goss of Tahlequah and Joey Wayne of California; two daughters, Pat Norris and husband, Roy of Wichita Kansas, and Koleta Goss and husband Leland Smith of Tahlequah; one brother, Herman Bowles of Tahlequah; two sisters, Josie Butts and husband Leon of Lowery, and Elvinia Hix of Tulsa; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of loved ones and friends.
