THELMA A. LOVEJOY, 90, of Hamlin, went to be with her Savior on Oct.15, at St Mary's Medical Center. She was born Nov. 13, 1911, a daughter of the late Cleve and Lauretta Adkins of Midkiff. She was a homemaker, member of the Hamlin Senior Citizen's and a member of the Pinegrove Methodist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Chilton Lovejoy, and two sons, Dallas A. Lovejoy and Lowren Dewayne Lovejoy. She is survived by five sons, Robert C. Lovejoy Jr. of South Point OH, Harlow Lovejoy (Maxine) of Griffithsville WV, Ottie Lovejoy of Midkiff WV, Kennith Lovejoy (Carol) of South Point OH and Everett Lovejoy (Linda) of Vacaville CA, eight dauthers, Nola Tabor (Kenneth) of West Hamlin WV, Minnie Bias (Glen) of Barboursville WV, Hazel Young of Proctorville OH, Nyoka James (Jim) of Huntington WV, Dovetta Harless (Roger) of Hurricane WV, Anita Hale (Ray) of Ashland KY, Teresa Cummings of Hamlin WV, and Gail Turley (Steve) of Hamlin WV. One special granddaughter, Kerri Lane Turley, one brother, Bill Adkins (Betty) of Midkiff WV, 42 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin WV, with Andy Lovejoy officiating. Burial will follow at Lovejoy Cemetery, Midkiff WV. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 17, at the funeral home.
