Macon-Edna Sikes Graham, 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Heartland Hospice. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 17, 2008, at 2:00PM, at Riverside Cemetery with Dr. Marcus Tripp officiating. The family may be contacted at the home of Mike Dodd.

She was born and raised in Macon, GA, the daughter of Amos M. Sikes and Mamie S. Sikes. Mrs. Graham attended A.L. Miller High School and graduated from Mercer University. After a stint as an elementary school teacher in the Bibb County schools, she worked as a housewife and mother while raising children. Later Mrs. Graham attended Crandall Business College and became an English teacher at Crandall. She also worked as Financial Secretary at the Law Firm of Adams, O’Neal and Hemingway in Macon.

At age 72, Mrs. Graham became the Box Office Manager at Macon Little Theatre for 10 years. She would tell anyone who asked that this was the best job she ever had. Mrs. Graham was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her first husband Roger Dodd, Jr. who died in 1964, her second husband, Louis H. Graham, her sister, Bernice Sikes, and brother, Julian Sikes. She is survived by her son, Mike Dodd (Marty) and daughter Josie Solomon. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Roger Dodd, Jr. (Emi), Laura Solomon Nixon, Ginger Dodd Chew (Baxley), Jodi Solomon Bowman (Craig), and Caroline Dodd Peterson (Roy) and nine great grandchildren.
