"Jackson Robling, splendid citizen of Washington township, died Monday afternoon about two o'clock at his home on the Walts farm. Mr Robling was one of the best known men of Pike county. He was born in the county on September 18, 1852 and passed his 78th birthday last September. He was twice married. His first marriage was to Mariah Willis who died about 1900. Some four years later he was united in marriage with Mary Kinman who survives as his widow with the children by his first marriage, Mrs Leda Shawhan, Mrs Robert Carter, Elizabeth Robling, Gus Robling, Mrs Johnny Robling, and three step-children, Mrs Bell Wilhite, Everett and Ottis Kinman. Mr Robling was a good man and highly respected citizen. He was a prosperous farmer and had a wide circle of friends in the township where he had spent practically all his life. The funeral service was held Wednesday forenoon from the home. The remains were taken to the Willis cemetery for burial."
